Thursday, our halls were filled with joy and pride as we welcomed back former Vikings, now graduating seniors, for their senior walkthrough.
Watching you walk the same halls where your journeys began reminded us just how quickly time flies. You’ve grown into amazing young adults, and we couldn’t be prouder of all you’ve accomplished.

Our Field Day was bursting with fun!

From teaching ABCs to inspiring curiosity, kindness, and confidence, our teachers do it all with heart, patience, and a whole lot of passion. Every lesson, hug, high-five, and word of encouragement helps shape the future of our Vikings and we couldn’t be more grateful.

Congratulations to Claire! We’re thrilled to share that Claire has been honored with the Citizenship Award by the Warwood Lion’s Club. This award recognizes individuals who show outstanding character, leadership, and a commitment to their community: Claire is all of that and more!
Our Vikings hit a home run with their reading goals! By completing the Wild Things Reading Challenge with their RED Folders, they earned tickets to Tuesday’s baseball game — and what a night it was!
Extra special moment: the staff member leading them on the field is a former Warwood student!

Second grade families were joined by Miss Carrie and Mr. B from the Ohio County Public Library for a fun and informative family night. They got to hear about some of the great summer programs the library offers to motivate students to continue reading through the summer. They also listened to a story and participated in a challenge together before exploring some items from the Library of Things. Students were also able to sign up for a library card so they can utilize all the things the library has to offer.
It's time to order your 2024-2025 Yearbooks. Flyers should be coming home with students today. Please be sure to check your child's folder. All orders must be submitted online. You may also order through this link:

Reminder that tomorrow, May 15th, is Field Day! We're looking forward to a great day. Please note that students are required to wear socks on the inflatable activities. Also, while not required, we would love to see students wearing Warwood shirts in the morning. Extra clothes/towels are requested, as water will be part of the fun.

1) Reminder that Kindergarten teachers have countywide meetings this Friday, May 9th, so Kindergarten students will not report to school.
2) We had a successful first day of state testing! Thank you for helping your students prepare to do their best. Grades 3-5 are bringing home a card with a website and access code for families to have faster access to their scores. Please let us know if you have any questions!

Reminder that students in third, fourth, and fifth grades will take part in GSA state testing beginning tomorrow with the Math assessment. The Reading assessment will be Wednesday, and Monday, May 12th will be the Writing test. 5th grade will complete the Science test on May 14th. These tests will begin at 8:50. To help students perform their best, please ensure that your child gets a good night's sleep and arrives at school on time. If your child requires an early dismissal or a late arrival on any testing day, kindly contact the school in advance, so we can arrange an alternative testing date. Our Vikings have worked so hard to prepare this year, and we're excited to see their work! Thank you!

Students will receive a code and instructions sent to their Microsoft email account (their STU account). If guardians have an email registered with WVEIS, the WV Education Information System, then guardians will receive an email as well. If guardians are unsure how to access their student’s email, the school will have that information available.

OCS and Warwood Elementary are teaming up with WVU Medicine Children’s Hospital for Blue and Gold Day on May 1st!
