2nd Grade had a wonderful Author’s Night! They heard from award-winning author, Jennifer Keats Curtis, and had the opportunity to ask her questions about being a writer. They each read aloud the page they wrote in their published class book and autographed one another’s copies.

Congratulations to our 5th grade choir! They performed the National Anthem at Friday's Nailers game and did an outstanding job. Way to go, Vikings! We are so proud of you!!

We had a wonderful time watching the Wheeling Nailers today! Grades 2-5 enjoyed a field trip to the rink, full of great saves, skating, and fun!

A huge congratulations to Teegan for earning 1st Place at the WV State Science & Engineering Fair with the project “Surface Tension Superpowers!” We are incredibly proud of her hard work and amazing achievement!

We had a terrific Thursday: Hula Hoop and Jump Rope competitions were a blast! Also, we celebrated students’ progress with RED (Read Every Day) Folders! Some February winners had a chance to Pie the Principal! Keep up the great work, Vikings!

Join some great Vikings on Friday while they perform the national anthem and cheer for the Nailers!

Second grade hosted their Wax Museum. Students selected a person to study, read the book, took notes, and wrote a biography. They then created a backdrop to represent their person. Finally, they dressed in character and presented themselves as the people they studied. Family members came in to “tour” the museum. The students did an amazing job, and we appreciate all the families that came in to see our students in action.
